{"id":432,"date":"2026-01-28T10:10:41","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T10:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tanzaniamonitor.com\/?p=432"},"modified":"2026-01-28T10:10:41","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T10:10:41","slug":"tactic-project-to-uplift-mbinga-infrastructure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tanzaniamonitor.com\/sw\/2026\/01\/28\/tactic-project-to-uplift-mbinga-infrastructure\/","title":{"rendered":"TACTIC project to uplift Mbinga infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #999999\"><strong>DODOMA, Tanzania:<\/strong><\/span> THE government has commenced the implementation of key infrastructure projects in Mbinga District, Ruvuma Region, aimed at improving social services.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Minister of State, Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) Mr Reuben Kwagilwa told the National Assembly yesterday that funds for the project has already been disbursed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonourable Speaker, the government, with financing from the World Bank, has commenced the implementation of the <a href=\"http:\/\/old.tamisemi.go.tz\/storage\/app\/media\/uploaded-files\/ESMF%20for%20TACTIC%20%20Project.pdf\">TACTIC Project<\/a> in Mbinga Urban Constituency.<\/p>\n<p>The project is currently at the design stage under a consulting engineer known as Botek Bosphorus Technical Consulting Corporation (BOTEC), working in collaboration with Building Design Authority (P) Ltd and Masterpiece Consult Ltd, since 1 June 2025,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy minister said once the design phase is completed, construction will commence immediately.<\/p>\n<p>He was responding to a basic question posed by Jonas Mbunda (Mbinga Urban- CCM), who wanted to know when will the government begin implementing the TACTIC Project in Mbinga Urban Constituency.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/tanzaniamonitor.com\/sw\/us-investment-fund-eyes-5-billion-in-ppp-projects\/<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Mr Kwagilwa said the government has completed design of the Mshangano\u2013Legele\u2013Mletele road for construction to tarmac (asphalt) standard, whereby 2.51bn\/- will be used for the initial construction of 5.0 kilometres of the road.<\/p>\n<p>He said, currently, the government is continuing to seek funds in order to implement the construction of the road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we await the availability of funds in the 2025\/26 Financial Year, the road has been allocated 20m\/- for routine maintenance.
